Life.....

They say the harder we work in the standing seperate leg stretching pose we work our hearts so hard that it is like having a mini heartattack for 10 seconds, and that the more mini heart attacks we have in the room, the less of a risk we will have one outside the yoga.....let me tell ya its a long 10 seconds haha but we can do anything for 10 seconds as long as we try!!!....unfortuantly I just heard that a man i knew in passing has recently passed away from an unanticipated heart attack....it is so shocking to me that one day we are just done...i dont think Ill ever understand or begin to comprehend that whole topic.....so all I, and everyone can do is live to be the best we can be daily....its soo easy to forget this and it is sooo easy for us to take our lives for granted...and let the business of our ever changing lives get the best of us and cause us to be numb to the world around us....I find it really sad that we have to hear tragic news to remember this about our own lives. Its important that we remember what is important to us...such as....
the people in our lives, the talents we have, the experiances we are lucky enough to encounter, the people who inspire us...the people we inspire...that we are lucky enough to be able to go about our days here without worrying about being a part of war, the people that we are closest too that we allow to see us at our most vulnerable states, thigns we are passionate about...remembering to remind ourselves that there IS enough time...so often so many of us walk around saying we dont have enough time for all the things we have to do but really we are just wasting our time and energy complaining about what we have to do instead of just doing it haha I know I am a culprit for that sometimes!!!!!

Back to Yoga....haha Im feeling great..my energy levels are higher then before.....I still am going to the gym every now and then, but I have to say that I enjoy going to bikram yoga a million times more....and I am seeing results in how my body looks and feels way quicker and different then how it is effected by going to the gym! In only 24 days I feel as though Ive been working at this for years haha so Im excited for the days to come as I continue to get fit mentally and physically!! Its exciting to be working hard at something and seeing results.....so if your looking to change up your routine to see results and your stuck in the gym plateau that I was stuck in for yrs...then try yoga!!! www.calgarybikramsouth.com

December.12.2009 Is the 2nd anual ROCK THE KETTLE EVENT that Boy&GurL are  putting together again, Im so excited to be organizing such a great event, bringing Calgary's finest talents together to share the stage and raise money for the Salvation Army! The evening starts off with a silent auction, there will be door prizes..good music and of course FUN! Once again it is at the Blind Beggar...and ALL PROCEEDS are going to the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign ;) Hope to see you Calgarians there to help support our community!!!!
